Tina Spiro is a highly skilled and talented artist with studios in Miami and Jamaica, where she and her husband, architect and urban planner Eran Spiro, own a hummingbird farm. Her work has been exhibited in museums, biennials, and galleries worldwide and is included in important collections.
While in her 20s, her range of friends and influencers included the likes of Andy Warhol and David Smith, and she was invited to exhibit in group shows with an upper echelon of artists.
For the past 40 years, climate change and environmental issues have been part of the themes of her work. In addition, she has promoted a broad range of Caribbean art for many years. For eight years Spiro taught a course in Caribbean art history at Florida International University.
