The Miami Selfie Museum is fun and safe despite the pandemic

The streets of Wynwood have a new museum with creative backdrops to enjoy. The Miami Selfie Museum has been one of the only museums in Wynwood to open in the middle of the pandemic and remain consistently staffed.

Museum manager Michael Timothy has kept the establishment safe from COVID-19 with contactless payment, hand sanitizer stations, reduced capacity and free masks to those who enter.

Their rooms and installations are designed for Instagram-worthy photographs but also to keep a socially distanced entertainment.

“We haven’t been able to go anywhere, so we can’t take pictures obviously,” said visitor Cece Demuni. “There are so many backgrounds here. So many different colors. You can literally take pictures that will last a month. All quarantine we can make it up, here, in one day.”
