Sneaker enthusiasts share their passion at Miami convention (includes video story)

Sneakerheads joined at the Miami Sneaker Convention X Sneaker Knockerz event held at the Fair Expo Center last weekend to buy, sell and trade the latest in footwear trends.

Reselling has grown massively in the past decade. Platforms such as Stock X and Goat have become a part of a multi-billion-dollar industry.

Collector and YouTuber Qias Omar, hosted the event. He has more than 1.4 million subscribers on his Youtube channel, Qrew, where he reviews sneakers and the latest streetwear fashion.

Omar held a sneaker raffle for the Off-White Jordan 2, designed by Virgil Abloh, which is expected to release on September 23.

Up-and-coming sneaker resellers Trinity Vorachack and Bennie Lormany, who recently founded their sneaker brand, Bussin Kicks, also attended. They expect to open their first boutique store in Pensacola soon. Vorachack and Lormany held an exclusive collection of sneakers, including the unreleased Billie Eilish x Air Jordan 1 KO.

The next sneaker convention will be held in Orlando on September 19 and sneaker enthusiasts will have the opportunity to purchase unique styles.
