The beginning of a young man’s spiritual journey (includes multimedia content)

Twenty-three-year-old Luis Cordova feels that every morning is an opportunity to start fresh, which is why he begins his days by meditating. It’s when his mind is clearest of all the anxiety and worries of the previous day.

Meditation, he says, is his form of prayer.

Raised Catholic, Cordova finds that faith and spirituality look different to everyone. His spiritual journey at this point is about deepening his understanding of his religion and how it fits into his life.

“Lately I’ve been feeling a deeper spiritual connection with myself, and I wanted to expose myself to the religion I [grew] up with… at the same time, trying to see if it’s really right for me and also deepening my connection with … some sort of eternal and higher intelligence.”
