Marlins win against Atlanta Braves in last game of the season (includes video story)

The Marlins ended their season at home against the NL East champions the Atlanta Braves by winning 12 to 9. It was Don Mattingly’s last game with the Marlins as manager and head coach.

Though the team did not make it to the playoffs, there’s one player to celebrate.
Jon Berti shined last night, ending the season as the stolen-base champ, leading the MLB with 41 steals while playing only 102 games this season.

Some players did not make it out of the dugout last night. Sandy Alcantara ended his season last Friday against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Though young fan Marcelo Zeballos did not get to see his favorite pitchers, he is still excited for what the next season holds.

“I’m sad how they didn’t make the playoffs, but I’m excited,” he said. “Hopefully with the new season and the new coach, they will do better and win stuff.”
