Lawmakers aim to tackle anti-semitism in Florida (includes video story)

Antisemitic flyers have been found in neighborhoods across South Florida in the last year. They have recently started appearing in peoples’ front yards once again. Tina Podhurst, a Jewish woman, is afraid to leave her house and says she has never seen anything like this before.

“This is so horrible — that this is going on in the world,” Podhurst said.

The community hopes legislators continue to work towards preventing this situation from happening again

“Antisemitism and hate have no place in Florida.” said state Rep. Mike Caruso, a Palm Beacvh Republican. “And that’s why I’m proud to announce [a bill] which deals with these acts.”
