Gay Ocho festival takes over Little Havana (includes video story)

The Gay Ocho festival, which was held this past weekend in Little Havana, is a platform and opportunity to connect with parts of South Florida that brings diversity, history, and culture.

The festival stretched several fun-packed, activity-filled blocks from SW 13th court to SW 17th Ave. The famed “Calle Ocho” was closed and became a pedestrian walkway to enjoy vendors, shows, and food.

The event also featured free movies at the Tower Theater, cultural programming, a fashion show in Domino Park, dance parties, the best Miami sandwich competition, and so much more.

Gay Ocho was an invitation to all South Floridians and international visitors to come to Little Havana for the “Fiesta” of a lifetime.
