FIU tribute to Ukraine (includes video story)

As Russia’s war on Ukraine continues with no end in sight, more than 5 million refugees have fled Ukraine. Of those, women and children have been disproportionately represented.

Yesterday, dozens of people gathered at The Westchester Cultural Arts Center for a night of drama, poetry and music in support of Ukrainian women and children.

The event was hosted collaboratively by the Florida International University Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab, the FIU Department of Theatre, the Roxy Theatre Group and the Westchester Cultural Arts Center.

It raised money for the Ukraine TrustChain, a non-profit that delivers food, medicine and evacuations to Ukrainians in active war zones.
