FIU panel hosts dialogue about faculty, staff and student resources (includes video story)

Yesterday, just weeks after Florida International University President Mark Rosenberg resigned following claims of improper behavior, a dialogue was held on identifying solutions when it comes to reporting misconduct or sexual assault allegations.

“We are grateful to have the opportunity to speak with you and to hear you,” shared Kenneth Jessell, FIU president.

The event included presentations from the Office of Civil Rights Compliance and Accessibility, which aims to make the school is an inclusive and safe place for staff and students.

“We wanted to make sure that we were responding to the university,” shared Ryan Kelley, FIU’s Title IX Coordinator, “to articulate our commitment to our process and our regulations that prohibit discrimination, sexual harassment, misconduct.”
