As COVID-19 cases continue rising in Florida, FIU is taking extra precautions.
Students, faculty, and staff can now access free at-home test kits while supplies last.
Donated by Farm Share and allocated by Miami-Dade County Commissions Chair Jose “Pepe” Diaz, Panthers can pick up a Covid test at either the Modesto Madique Campus or the Biscayne Bay Campus.
“I think this is a good idea, what they’re doing to keep everybody safe,” said Antwan Williams, an FIU employee.
Megan is a Digital Communication and Media Major with a focus on Television and Multimedia Production. She is also pursuing a minor in Social Media and E-Marketing Analytics. After graduation, she plans on using the skills and knowledge gained to become an editor in the entertainment industry.
Samantha Gutierrez is a student journalist majoring in Digital Communication and Media. As a bilingual reporter, she enjoys covering stories about her diverse Miami community. With a strong passion for broadcasting, she aspires to pursue a career as a multimedia journalist in South Florida.
