Cutler Bay hosts Spooktacular event for families (includes video story)

The community of Cutler Bay hosts an annual spook-tacular event that invites people of all ages to join the fun and let out their inner child out.

“Me and my mom come every year and my nephews like it,” said Sue Rodriguez, a resident. “We look forward to this event because it’s family stuff and we all get dressed. I also brought my puppies because this is one of the only events that allowpets and we can all get together to have fun while staying safe.”

This two-day event was filled with people gathering in a field on their camping chairs or blankets while enjoying the music and each other’s company.

The highlight of this Spooktacular event was the many golf cart owners from the community who decorated their vehicles and distributed candy to the children during the parade around the neighborhood.

After the pandemic banned events like this, residents were excited to share and celebrate Halloween together.
