About the Washington, D.C., Bureau

From its location close to Capitol Hill, the White House, the Pentagon, and a vast network of federal agencies, the Caplin News’s Washington, D.C., Bureau immerses students in political reporting and the media all part of a thorough introduction to the responsibility of the news industry as the “Fourth Estate.” Washington Bureau students spend a semester living in the nation’s capital, working alongside longtime Washington-based anchor Adrianna Hopkins and journalist Patricia Guadalupe, and file stories from the offices of FIU in Washington, D.C., The program is offered during fall, spring, and summer semesters.
