From its offices in one of the world’s most important and vibrant cities, the South Florida Media Network’s New York City Bureau provides professional reporting experience for FIU journalism students, who like their Washington, D.C., colleagues, learn how to develop sources, find stories, and immerse themselves in a variety of political, social, and contemporary issues at a co-working space provided by our partner, Alley, and located in the heart of Chelsea, one of New York’s most exciting and diverse neighborhoods. (Note: the bureau is closed for the 2020-21 school year and will return in 2021-22)
