President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin concluded their summit on Wednesday with an agreement on diplomacy, but the two sides remain at odds over human rights, cyberattacks and Ukraine.
The anticipated meeting between the two leaders lasted for three hours. Both men indicated the meeting was productive.
Biden has aimed to reaffirm U.S. relationships with European allies at the G7 and NATO summits during his trip.
“We just wrapped up what has been an extraordinary and collaborative and production meeting of the G7,” said Biden during a press conference.
