When tourists think of South Florida, sandy white beaches and thrilling nightlife often come to mind. But for locals who have families and want to enjoy a quiet weekend in the country, this might not be the right thing.

So where to take the whole family?

From petting zoos to corn mazes to paddle boat rides, local farms have lots to do for families of all ages. Instead of joining the crowds of tourists in Miami Beach, gather the kids and visit one of these spots.
