Top five Colombian restaurants in Broward County

Colombian food reflects the great and unique culinary culture and the influences behind the South American nation’s dishes. Diving into foods influenced by African, indigenous and Spanish cultures can be a real jam.

Colombia’s authentic flavors are a combination of sweet, salty and cheesy, but the real gem is the true magic of food ingredients. Some of the most common dishes are meat and chicken empanadas; sancocho, a traditional dish from the Antioquia region of Colombia that combines potatoes, yuca, corn, plantains, and chicken; a chicken soup that often includes sweet corn, herbs, three types of potatoes and beans called ajiaco; and pan de bono, cheese bread. Colombia is not only known for its authentic food, but for being one of the best worlds exporters of coffee.
