Young gymnasts blame the government and FBI for Larry Nassar’s abuse (includes video story)

The elite gymnasts Simone Biles, Maggie Nichols, McKayla Maroney, and Aly Raisman testified after a U.S Justice Department Inspector General report found that the FBI failed to respond to their allegations urgently.

Also, the agency lacked seriousness and violated policies while investigating former team USA doctor Larry Nassar.

The current FBI director, Christopher Wray, apologized to Nassar’s abuse survivors and said he has begun to put into action the changes recommended in the report.

These athletes are urging the federal prosecution of those who lied and delayed bringing Nassar to justice.
