Two people were injured in a Wednesday night shooting at a Cutler Bay apartment complex, police said.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. at the Garden View apartments located at 11000 SW 200th Dr.
In an email, a Miami-Dade police Ofc. Angel Rodriguez stated a woman suffered a gunshot wound to the elbow and was treated on scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. The other victim, a man, had multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Jackson South Medical Center. His condition is not known.
One subject has been detained but no motive has been determined.
Police closed the road following the incident, keeping residents from their apartments until they completed their work.
A woman who identified herself as the female victim’s mother was waiting outside while her daughter spoke to police. She said the complex is a dangerous place.
