Hard Rock Stadium (Diego Aure/SFMN)

Hard Rock Stadium
347 Don Shula Dr.
Miami Gardens
FL 33056
305-943-8000

Home to the NFL Miami Dolphins, the Hard Rock has hosted numerous big acts from Madonna to the Rolling Stones . It was built in 1987 in Miami Gardens, with a near-direct entry from the Florida Turnpike. In capacity, it is the biggest of the list, with over 65,000 seats, many of which are under cover. This means that spectators will not be troubled by rain or intense sun. The most special thing about a concert at the Hard Rock is the atmosphere: an open-air venue filled with dozens of thousands of fans. It also has great flexibility. In 2011, Irish band U2 held a show at the stadium in their “360° Tour,” which had the stage in the middle and the fans all around.

Hard Rock Live (Diego Aure/ SFMN)

Hard Rock Live
1 Seminole Way
Fort Lauderdale. FL 33314
954-797-5531

Opened in 2019, this is the newest of all venues on the list, but it has already hosted acts as significant as Guns ‘N’ Roses and The Rolling Stones. With a capacity of 7,000, this amphitheater is the smallest location on the list. It is designed for more exclusive events. The location is Hollywood, in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which is easy to find because of the 450 feet guitar building. While it may lack the stadium atmosphere that many times characterizes a concert, it will provide the best sound experience, as it is the only venue on the list that was built specifically for live music. Sound panels and diffusers are located throughout, so musical events are made to be appreciated in the finest way. Seats are angled towards the stage, and everyone can enjoy the show with an optimal view.

FTX Arena
601 Biscayne Blvd
Miami, FL 33132

It seats up to 21,000 people, and while it is the NBA Miami Heat’s home, it can also be remembered for the concerts that it has frequently hosted since its construction in 1999. The FTX Arena is a very popular venue for Latin artists, as evidenced by Bad Bunny selling out three days in a row in April 2022. Located in downtown Miami, it is a great venue for artists because it offers a great number of seats for spectators and an ideal location in the heart of Miami’s social life. Also, it provides the benefit of a totally enclosed space, so no one needs to worry about weather conditions.

Bon Jovi At FLA Arena (Diego Aure/ SFMN)

FLA Live Arena
1 Panther Pkwy
Sunrise, FL 33323
954-835-7000

Located in Sunrise, the FLA Live was built in 1998 as the NHL Florida Panthers’ new home, but the first events it hosted were concerts from Céline Dion and Elton John in its first two days. It fits over 20,000 spectators in a totally enclosed space, which allows for rain not to be a problem. The seats are designed vertically so every viewer can feel close to the stage, even from a distant row. Being the northernmost venue on the list, it is in a less crowded area, which allows for smoother entry.

Bayfront FPL Solar Amphitheater (Courtesy of Andrea Pettus)

FPL Solar Amphitheater
301 Biscayne Blvd
Miami, FL 33132
305-358-7550

Located in Downtown Miami, this open-air venue is capable of seating 8,500 people. It was built in 1925, and it is popularly known its previous name, the Miami Bayfront Park Amphitheater. In contrast with the rest of the list, this venue has a lot of green spaces and hosts a view of the sea which helps people enjoy a more relaxed and natural experience in musical events. It can be ideal for longer concerts, such as multi-artist performances, so people have the possibility to enjoy the location for more extended periods of time. Some of the most significant acts that have performed at the FPL are Kanye West in 2020 and Dua Lipa in 2018. The capacity of the venue can be expanded through the green space behind the crowd.
