Last night, Miley Cyrus gave an extraordinary performance in front of vaccinated health care workers who attended Super Bowl LV for free this year. Rock singers Joan Jett and Billy Idol were there too.

Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan then gave a powerful show singing the national anthem. Many were thrilled to hear R&B singer Sullivan and country singer Church were there. Sullivan came out with a new album last year after a six-year hiatus, debuting at number one album Heaux Tale on the R&B charts.

Poet Amanda Gorman, who became famous for her inauguration poem this year, “The Hill we Climb,” also performed at the Super Bowl, saying encouraging words to heroes who assisted others during the pandemic.

The halftime act, The Weeknd, performed an assortment of hits like “Starboy,” “The Hill,” “Feel it Coming,” “Earned It,” and “Can’t Feel My Face.” The most famous song was “Blinding Lights.” off his number-one album, After Hours, which reached over 221 million streams.

After The Weeknd’s performance, many quickly created memes on Twitter from the halftime show performance.
