South Florida small businesses have been particularly hard hit by the pandemic, but now a ‘Pop Up & Shop Up’ event offers a platform to network with possible customers. The event will take place at Inhale Miami in Little Haiti next weekend.
Owner Stephani Lamoni organized this event where small businesses can offer their brand items and grow their businesses.
“What motivated me was that actually, I had a swimwear line for three years before I started Pop Up & Shop Up,” Lamoni said, “I wanted to do something that can actually help small businesses grow.”
Every day of the event, there is a new selection for guests to see. There is always different merchandise and food. Each vendor has a booth.
Brian Rodriguez, who owns a vintage clothing business called Thriftwayz, describes how he got started.
“I fell in love with the thrift game, I fell in love with finding something that you don’t see anymore, that doesn’t sell in stores anymore,” Rodriguez said. “I have always been into fashion, and I just want to see where I can take this, where I can elevate it.”
It’s a family-friendly event that is free for guests. They can enjoy several vendors’ booths, food trucks and music. Guest are required to wear facemasks at all times. They must have their temperature checked at the entrance. Potential vendors can send inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org.
