Miami-Dade hosted a rally for Cuba’s freedom (includes video story)

Miami-Dade county recently hosted a concert to show support for the Cuban people’s fight against their country’s government.

On the island, demonstrators have been detained, beaten and even killed. The people are protesting poor conditions, such as a lack of food and medicine.

Cuban Americans are seeking help from the United States and have spent two weeks protesting in front of the White House.

President Biden has verbally shown support, but supporters are demanding more help. Cubans exiles who became naturalized citizens and Americans of Cuban descent alike have been leading protests across the nation for their families and friends still on the island.
