Mazza ride for St. Jude held at Markham Park (includes video)

The fourth annual Mazza Ride for St. Jude took place this past Saturday at Markham Park in Sunrise to raise money for the children of St. Jude research hospital.

More than 400 supporters from across South Florida gathered to participate in the bike ride and family-friendly 5k run.

Donors were able to earn star, angel, and hero status, receive different kinds of prizes, and free race entry.

“We wanted to give back for all the blessings that we have,” Mazza’s owner, Faris Bushnaq, said. ”We chose St. Jude as our beneficiary to raise money and focus our energy on them.”

The total funds raised will be revealed during this week, Bushnaq said.

In the meantime, they continue to raise their voices to increase public awareness of St. Jude’s mission.
