Gov. Ron DeSantis plans to remove FSA testing (Includes video story)

In a press conference on Tuesday at Doral Academy Preparatory School, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that his office is working on a bill to end the Florida Standards Assessment, which are standardized exams that test students on their English, science, and mathematical skills.

DeSantis said if the measure is approved, the FSA would be replaced with progress monitoring with teachers regularly observing students during the semesters.

This policy would allow teachers and parents to have real-time information about how their students are doing.
