FIU college basketball is back in session (includes video story)

The FIU men’s basketball team is ready to move on from last season, which was filled with cancellations, losses and injuries. The team entered the 2021-2022 season on November 9th equipped with nine new players, a healthy roster and more lenient COVID-19 guidelines.

“We are certainly grateful to be back out here and our players are taking advantage of it,” says head coach Jeremy Ballard. “They’ve been getting after it, competing every single day and are hungry to be a much better team and have a great season.”

The team will take on seven Division 1 opponents and play 18 Conference USA games this season. The first game will feature the University of Georgia Bulldogs on the road.
