Professor Margaret Vendryes from York College in New York will speak on how African art and design influenced Art Deco. It is a topic Vendryes has studied since her time as a doctoral student. The event is a part of Art Deco Weekend. It takes place at The Wolfsonian-FIU museum on Miami Beach. Although it is a free event, it requires registration through Eventbrite.
