Dolphins welcome new coach Mike McDaniel (includes video story)

The Miami Dolphins welcomed their new head coach, Mike McDaniel, at a press conference on Monday.

McDaniel, 38, worked as the offensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers for 5 years. In 2020, he helped take the team all the way to the Super Bowl, where they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.

McDaniel now replaces Brian Flores, who was fired and filed a racial discrimination lawsuit against the team and the NFL.

McDaniel stated, “As I walked through this building, the gorgeous building we stand in… saw the people, looked into their eyes, felt their passion. I quickly realized that this was my dream job and I had to go get it.”

Last year, the Dolphins were the first team in NFL history to have a seven-game winning streak and a seven-game losing streak in the same season.
