Biden returns to DC after G7 Summit in Japan (includes video story)

Today, President Biden is back at home to face the debt ceiling crisis after addressing global concerns at the annual G7 summit over the weekend.

World leaders including President Biden tackled a host of global concerns from ways to curb Chinese expansion through investment and infrastructure to new Russian sanctions and new military aid for Ukraine.

“Today, I’m announcing the next tranche of us security assistance to Ukraine,” said President Biden. “A package that includes more ammunition, artillery, armored vehicles to bolster Ukraine’s battlefield abilities.”

However, Biden had a hard time keeping the G7 spotlight away from the looming debt ceiling crisis back in the U.S. as no agreement has been reached. He is preparing to meet with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy today to continue talks for a resolution before a default.
