Best dog parks in Miami-Dade County

Dog parks are great for canines and their owners. Heading to one is a way for you to get out of the house and have some quality time with your pet. Not sure which place is ideal for you and your dog? This dog park is for everyone and has its own space in Tropical Park. There’s a fence around it and three gates, one to the park and one for each play area, one for dogs under 35 pounds and one for dogs over 35 pounds. Both areas have dog playground equipment and open space to roam around and play in. Outside of the park, you and your dog can get some snacks from the Licks and Treats truck.

If you have never been to a dog park, this one is for you and your pup. Go early so your dog can learn how to adapt to a new setting and learn to get along with others. The park is separated into two gated areas, one for dogs under 16 inches and one for dogs taller than that. There is a dog waste station, so you can pick up, and there’s a wash station.

This park has the best of both worlds. It has a field for you to play with your dog and a zone where the pups can socialize. You can take a stroll with fido around the park and enjoy the view of the water. You do have to pay for parking, so make sure to download the PayByPhone app.

This park is ideal for exercising with your dog. There is a lot of open space where you can run with your dog along the trail. There is a gated area where you can go if you want your dog to play in a more secure environment. Go to A.C.’s Icees truck and enjoy a frozen lemonade. Just make sure to bring cash. Parking is limited, so come early to get a good spot.

If your dog loves socializing, this is the park for you. It is for canines of all sizes. You can sit down and talk with other owners while yours plays with others. There is a water station and wastebaskets. Parking is limited, so if you live in the Coconut Grove area, it’s best to walk there.
