After two years of cancellations because of the pandemic, Art Basel returned to the Miami Beach Convention Center this week. Leading galleries from around the world have been renting exhibit spaces since the fair started in 2002.
Art Basel Miami Beach takes place until December 5 in venues throughout the city where visitors can enjoy more than 270 galleries from 35 countries.
One of the first galleries that opened its doors this year was the Piero Atchugarry Gallery, which is showing a dual exhibition. Anne Cecile presents her unique marble sculptures, and Sophie Ulrich shows her oil paintings in abstract forms.
This gallery is open to the public and has an outdoor patio where guests can enjoy food, drinks, and live music.
Moreover, Faena Bazar in Miami Beach takes us to another dimension with the Morphew Genesis Collection of digital and physical fashion. Items are worn by celebrities such as Madonna, Shakira and Doja Cat.
Art Basel transforms the city every year, connecting galleries, artists, art pieces, as well as serving as a meeting point for the world of art and South Florida residents.
