After Uvalde, Democrats and Republicans come up with dueling solutions on gun violence (includes video story)

This past Tuesday, an 18-year-old gunman in Uvalde, Texas shot his grandmother and then went to a local elementary school and killed 19 children and two teachers.

Within 10 days there have been three mass shootings in California, New York, and Texas. Americans are questioning Congress and asking them what comes next. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says, “our parents don’t need to drop their kids off at school and wonder if their kid will be next.”

In the meantime, President Biden is expected to travel to Texas soon to meet with the victims’ families and local leaders.
